BC Place Stadium is huge... how huge? The roof is 10 acres of fiberglass so thin it lets light through, and yet it is apparently stronger than steel.
The stadium is home to the BC Lions of the Candian Football League and has also welcomed many major rock events over the years. David Bowie has played here. As have the Stones and the Beach Boys. With a capacity of 60,000 we're talking major stadium rock.
The facility is located right downtown, near Vancouver's other major entertainment venues and night life. There is ample parking in lots adjoining the stadium and nearby. The Skytrain station is just a short walk away.
